How long does fentanyl stay in your system

Coroners Service, fentanyl is available as either a powder or a sticky substance, and it is quickly added to powder, pill or other substances in pill presses and as a loose powder. At the highest doses, fentanyl can be fatal. How long it remains in your body depends on how much fentanyl you take in total and how much you ingest. Most fentanyl overdose deaths in 2016 involved powder or pills with multiple pills in a package. While it can take several weeks for your body to absorb all the fentanyl you take in, if you take small doses over long periods, like a month, it could be a different story. The drug would go into your system and not stay as long. For instance, if you take 30 pills in a month and they are wrapped in an average gel, it could take up to nine weeks for that fentanyl to get into your system.
